KANDUI FILLER TEKNIK - MASTERBATCHES, FILLER, ANTIFAB, COLOUR MASTERBATCH, WHITE MASTERBATCH
Kandui Fillerteknik, belonging to the PVN group, has created a niche into the field of masterbatches by offering quality grades at a very competitive prices. We manufacture 11,000 MT per annum of masterbatches. A combination of our state of the art extruders, well equipped laboratory, reliable Quality Control systems, qualified managers, and smart workforce make it together to offer world class quality products and services to our clients and customers.
Masterbatches
Kandui manufactures masterbatches of various types such as : anti-fibrillation masterbatches, white masterbatches, colour masterbatches and various types of additive masterbatches.
Biodegradeable Materbatches ( Biofil)
On addition of Biofil to the polyolefin polymer, the products will biodegrade after its shelf life (2 years) in any or all of the conditions i.e. aerobic, anaerobic, UV light exposure. This is a unique feature of Biofil as most other biodegradable masterbatches do not have such universal characteristic. Some biodegradable masterbatches will only be photodegradable i.e. the product has to be exposed to sunlight for required period of time. In other words, if the product is buried in a landfill, which is inaccessible to sunlight, the product will not degrade. A few other biodegradable masterbatches need oxygen for degradation and some others do not require oxygen. However, biofil is not restricted to any such conditions.
Antifab/ Filler Masterbatches
About a decade ago, antifab/ filler Masterbatches were used to prevent the fibrillation of tapes in woven sacks. However, as markets have become more and more competitive, antifab/ filler masterbatches have been increasingly used to lower raw material costs. Antifibrillation masterbatches imparts whiteness and stiffness of the product & helps in significant cost reduction.
Kandui has mastered manufacturing of antifab/ filler masterbatches since 1985. This being the back-ward integration for the group, the in-depth knowledge and expertise in the end use of the antifab/ filler masterbatch, gives the company indispensable advantage in this field. As a strategy Kandui tests the antifab/ filler masterbatch in-house to the hilt and then rolls out the best products in the market. Antifab/ filler masterbatches are available at most economical prices. Products in this antifab/ filler category include calcium carbonate (Technofil Family) and talc (Trans Family) based compounds ranging from loading levels from 60% to 82%. Antifab/ filler masterbatches can be used at maximum loading levels maintaining required mechanical properties in the final application. Apart from woven sacks these are widely used in blown film applications (liners/jabla bags/garbage bags) and all types of extrusion applications, all types of molding applications etc. Special filler masterbatches for addition in up to 8 micron thickness films and for LDPE films (which on addition maintain gloss and transparency) have been developed.
Colour Masterbatch
Kandui’s standard range contains more than 100 shades in every colour and can also offers tailor-made/ custom made colour masterbatches. These colour masterbatches are used for polyolefins and polystyrenes. The following basic things are taken care of to produce a colour masterbatch with the best gloss and dispersion:
- Selection of pigment of colour masterbatches: Heat stability and light fastness of the pigment suitable for the final application.
- Selection of additive of colour masterbatches: The selection and addition level of the additive depends on the type and loading of the pigment in the colour masterbatch to enable better rheological properties in the final polymer matrix.
- Selection of polymer of colour masterbatches: Selection of the polymer suitable for the final application in the colour masterbatch.
White Masterbatch
White masterbatches are used for diverse applications ranging from the economical grades to the standard and maximum loaded super whites are delivered to most of the packaging, automotives, electrical, electronics and consumer/household sectors. Kandui’s white masterbatches are of superior quality. These white masterbatches are used for polyolefins and polystyrenes.
Gloss, opacity and whiteness of these white masterbatches are maintained by controlling the shear rate giving better dispersion without disturbing or changing the surface properties of these white masterbatches. Kandui’s white masterbatches are available at highly competitive prices and meet international standards of quality.
More than 100 standard products including white masterbatches are available with different Titanium loading percentages and combination of polymer and additives used.
Additive Masterbatches for Polyolefins
AddKan standard range of Additive Masterbatches includes Antioxidant, UV, Nucleating / Clarrifying, Anti static, Hi gloss, Optical brightener, Anti block, Antifog ,Slip and Polymer Processing Aids.
