ANL Plastics launches up to date shaped APET range for fresh food

ANL plastics launches a new range of crystal clear containers with separate lid in APET: the DP range.

The DP range has a modern, fresh look and presents the fresh content in a 3 dimensional way.

The lid clicks on the tray without leakage, which allows you to present a variety of convenient food preparations in different distribution channels, supermarkets and small retailers.

The packaging is also developed to meet sealing requirements. Thus, the tray can be presented without clicking lid for MAP ready meals.

ANL Plastics will develop a range with a useful content of the tray from 250ml up to 1500ml.

In total, the range will offer a complete series with a very typical and recognizable shape.

The shape is a perfect ergonomic fit in the consumers hand and responds perfectly to the trends of convenience food packaging, nomadism and "on the go" consuming.

Since its creation in 1991, through the willingness of Jean Neven and the needs of the French market, ANL France has not ceased developing with the sole objective: to supply its customers with the greatest efficiency while bringing them innovative, high quality packaging solutions.

In 3 8-hour shifts, five days per week, all year round, ten machines produce various thermoformed trays both for the food and non food market (consumer goods, health care, etc…).

In permanent synergy with its mother factory based in Wellen, Belgium, ANL France has not ceased to take advantage of its know-how of production, its R&D department, product design at the request specific of customers, its film extrusion department, supplying the French production site with raw material of high quality and reliability and its mould manufacture department, allowing a very strong design-production responsiveness. Great flexibility offers the possibility of transferring production between the two sites in the event of urgency.

Filip Mertens, director of the site since 2004 as well as his teams: commercial, production and administrative, have developed a permanent ear for the demands of customers while doing everything to honour them in terms of the date, time and quality required.

ISO 9001 and BRC/IoP certified, just like the head office, ANL France has a great deal of autonomy in the management of its production and logistics apart from the close and indispensible links binding it to the mother factory in Belgium.

So that the history of the group is perpetuated, ANL France celebrates the happy birth of its little sister following the creation of a production unit in Poland by the end of 2010.

ANL POLSKA - a new high performance satellite of ANL Plastics is ready for launch.

ANL Plastics, producer of thermoformed plastic packaging for the food and other industries is opening a new production plant in Poland. A favourably developing market and an extensive feasibility study have convinced ANL Plastics to take this step.

The motivation is twofold. On the one hand there was the recurring demand from the existing, mainly multinational customers to be supplied in Eastern Europe, where new production locations were being set up. The good relations between these multinationals and ANL Plastics had an inspirational effect. On the other hand there was a totally new market developing with a large sales potential and a window onto the Eastern European markets.

The primary objective will therefore be the supply of the local market and the expansion of a local activity.

ANL Plastics was looking for a central location that offered the possibility of supporting existing customers in their further development and of supplying a catchment area in the heart of the industry for 100 million potential new consumers.

A 6,000 m² hall was rented in the city of Dambrowa, located between Krakow and Katowice. The choice of this location was motivated by the good road network, utilities, easy, relatively fast accessibility, a technically highly skilled potential workforce and direct access to the Czech, Slovakian and Hungarian markets.

The installation of the machinery starts in September. Startup is planned for the first quarter of 2011. The Polish commercial team, led by Robert Chudzik, has already started prospecting the market. ANL Polska was also present at the two-yearly Taropack trade fair in Poznan.

In 2009, ANL Plastics realised a revenue of € 65 million with 420 employees at its two sites in Wellen (B) and Cahors (Fr). The start of a third site marks a new step forwards in the long-term strategy of ANL Plastics to be a “Global European” supplier that can efficiently service customers throughout the whole of Europe.
