Polymer Composite Asia (PCA) is a subsidiary of Hexagon Holdings Berhad of Malaysia and specializes in manufacturing advanced composite materials for the engineering and processing industries. Incorporated in January 1989, PCA commenced its operations in June 1989.

ADVANCED COMPOSITE PULTRUSION
PCA is a pioneer in advanced composite pultrusion, a process in the manufacturing of high strength advanced composite products. In 1992, PCA embarked on the design and fabrication of engineered advanced composite vessels that include giant flue stacks, chemical reactors and other critical process equipment.

PCA also offers turnkey solutions that include consultation, detailed designs and drawings, manufacturing, installation and maintenance.

Our range of pultruded Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FPR) products include Trugrid® structural profiles, FRP gratings, cable support systems and accessories, scrubbers, Envirolite™ lightweight manhole covers, and Trucor® FRP pipes and tanks.

TRUGRID STRUCTURAL PROFILES
PCA supplies a wide range of Trugrid FRP products, which are an ideal substitute for steel and conventional metal in applications where weight, strength, corrosion resistance and UV resistance are of paramount concern.

Trugrid structural profiles are widely used in constructing small platforms in chemical plants to full size industrial cooling towers, bridges and platforms, pipe supports, slide guides and weir plates. These structural profiles are used for structural supports and assembled into functional components like staircases, handrails, ladders, etc.

TRUGRID FRP GRATINGS
PCA offers cost effective, maintenance free Trugrid FRP fibreglass grating systems for flooring, walkways, decking and traffic areas. Our Trugrid FRP fibreglass gratings are ideally suited for corrosive and aggressive environments like offshore oil rigs, ships, cooling towers and chemical plants.

TRUGRID FRP CABLE SUPPORT SYSTEMS AND ACCESSORIES
PCA designs and manufactures Trugrid FRP cable support systems and accessories that are made of galvanized steel, aluminium and thermoplastics. Our Trugrid FRP cable ladders, trays, fittings and accessories are used in tunnels, offshore oil rigs, ships, FPSOs, cooling towers and seashore buildings where low weight and corrosion-free characteristics are essential.

PCA is certified by Lloyds Register for Quality System ISO 9001:2000 compliance and Trugrid FRP cable support systems and accessories conform to NEMA FG1-1993 standards.

FRP WET PACKED SCRUBBERS
PCA manufactures a wide range of FRP wet packed scrubbers for removing corrosive and toxic fumes from industrial processes in air pollution control systems. FRP scrubbers are available horizontal, vertical, as air strippers or in carbon adsorption designs. FRP scrubbers are equipped with FRP ducting, FRP exhaust stack and suction hoods for maintaining basic structures. Complete systems are available including all auxiliary components such as chemical pumps, FRP fans and controls.

QA ENVIROLITE™ FRP LIGHTWEIGHT MANHOLE COVERS
PCA offers QA Envirolite™ FRP lightweight manhole covers, which are corrosion resistant and lightweight. The company supplies a wide range of QA Envirolite FRP lightweight manhole covers that include:

• • EN 124 Class B125 / AASHTO HS20 rated to 125kN or 12.5t (27,500lb) manhole covers
• • EN 124 Class C250 Rated to 250kN or 25t (55,000lb) manhole covers

Our QA Envirolite FRP lightweight manhole covers are used to cover petrol kiosk tank sumps, sewage manholes, telephone utilities tunnel manholes and water board supply manholes.

TRUCOR® FRP PIPES
Our TRUCOR® fibre reinforced plastic pipes are chemically and structurally engineered with balanced resin and glass to resist a wide range of acids and alkalis as well as weathering, spillage and corrosive fumes. This excellent combination of corrosion and strength characteristics are achieved through PCA’s special "Laminate Construction". TRUCOR FRP pipes are designed to handle operating temperatures of 320°F and pressure of 150PSI. TRUCOR fibre reinforced plastic pipes are available in lengths up to 20ft and diameter from 2in to 72in.

FRP TANKS
PCA has been providing FRP tanks as storage vessels for the chemical, steel and semiconductor industries since 1984. Each FRP tank is designed, built and tested by our team of dedicated engineers for water works, sewerage, irrigation and seawater outfall systems. Types of FRP tanks supplied include:
