Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., the largest group of companies in India, established its tooling division in 1935. It is now the largest and most sophisticated tool room in India. The tooling division has grown to be the most organized and professionally managed tool room facility, capable of handling any challenge in design, manufacture and testing of any kind of tool.

The tooling division manufactures and supplies plastic injection moulds, pressure die-casting dies, sheet metal tooling, jigs, fixtures, gauges and special purpose machines. It also supplies reaction injection moulds and vacuum forming moulds.

The company is equipped with in-house CAD/CAM facilities, advanced and latest CNC machines and trail facilities. The products undergo stringent quality control in their own facility under strict supervision.

PLASTIC INJECTION MOULDS

Godrej & Boyce manufactures injection moulds, reaction injection moulds and vacuum forming moulds that are widely used in domestic and international markets.

Plastic injection moulds from Godrej & Boyce tooling division include injection moulds for plastic washing machine parts, refrigerator parts, chairs and paint dispenser parts. The company also manufactures twin-tub moulds for washing machines, chair moulds, bottle rack moulds for refrigerators and door bezels.

The range also includes plastic injection moulds for vehicles, including doors, bumpers, seat reclining handles, roof liners, wheel caps and moulds for door trim, seat foams, rocket covers and fire insulation. Further injection moulds include moulds for seat bases, mudguards, front shields, split handles, handle bar covers and air filter covers.

With an emphasis on accuracy, all plastic injected moulds are spotted on state-of-the-art die spotting and tryout presses, with a feature to produce preform samples to check geometry and dimensions. Apart from the above, the plastic moulds manufactured are of very high quality, which are suitable for longer production runs, resulting in smoother production and less maintenance.

PRESSURE DIE CASTING DIES

Godrej & Boyce manufactures high quality pressure die casting dies for various automotive components, lock parts, rotors etc. It manufactures a wide range of die casting dies for the automotive industry for four wheelers and two wheelers. The die casting dies include left and right crank cases, crank case covers, split handle bar bodies, cover generators, handle grips, clutch covers, rear wheel hubs and magneto covers. Casting dies also include valve bodies, rams, flanges, ford brackets, cylinder heads and cylinder barrels.

LARGE PANEL DIES AND SHEET METAL TOOLS

Godrej & Boyce specialises in manufacturing large panel dies for automotive parts like the roof, floors, scooter side panels etc. Transfer tooling, panel tooling and progressive tooling methods are implemented for high quality products. The company manufactures scooter side skin panels, centre rear covers, cross members, internal panels, front floor and rear panel. It also manufactures inner doors, grill skin panels, rear floors, upper and lower parts of fuel tank, reinforced panels, pillars and small parts for cars. In addition, the company also manufactures press plates using forming dies and perfume caps using transfer tools.

JIGS, FIXTURES AND GAUGES

The company also manufactures jigs and fixtures for most complex parts. It has main body welding fixtures and side panel welding fixtures. It also has preset jigs and floor and side welding fixtures.

SPECIAL PURPOSE MACHINES

Godrej & Boyce manufactures special purpose machines for wall broaching, height broaching, six spindle drilling and milling, soap packaging, high speed soap cutting machines along with drilling and reaming machines for float chamber bodies in carburettors.
