Plastiblends India Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of colour & additive masterbatches and thermoplastic compounds for the plastic processing industry in India, is reportedly planning to expand its manufacturing capacity in the country by setting up a production plant in Surat (Gujarat).

“In view of market potential and demand, the Company has plans to substantially increase the manufacturing capacity and has identified land near Palsana, Surat to setup new manufacturing unit,” said Plastiblends India in a BSE filing on June 26, 2015.

The expansion will be funded mainly through internal accruals. Plastiblends has already acquired part of the land and has started construction of manufacturing facility which will be commissioned in phased manner.

At present, Plastiblends, a part of Kolsite Group of Companies, has manufacturing facilities at Daman, Roorkee (Uttarakhand) with an annual manufacturing capacity over 75,000 MT. The company masterbatches for polyolefins including BOPP, PET, PBT, ABS, HIPS & EVA.
