Jade Group expands in China

1 February 2017

Chinese molder and mold maker Jade Group International LLC has moved its tooling operation to an expanded facility in Zhongshan, Guangdong province.

The approximately 17,200-square-foot (1,600-square-meter) tooling plant is located five minutes from Jade’s initial facility, which will continue to mold plastic parts, according to a news release.

Founded in 2006, Jade supplies plastic parts to several industries including consumer goods, industrial, packaging and automotive. The company produces molds for press sizes ranging from 20 to 2,000 metric tons.

Jade employs 35 at its new tooling facility in China and another 35 at its plastics processing plant, along with eight U.S.-based employees in sales, customer service, engineering and project management. The company said the expansion is in response to increased business from North America, Canada and Europe.

“We’re excited about establishing this new mold making facility because it enables us to meet increasing customer demand throughout the world,” said Patrick Smith, president of Jade Group International, in a statement.
