The Jefferson County Commission approved statutory tax abatements for the project, valued at more than $427,000 over 10 years.
“Plastipak is a long-time and highly valued investor in the county’s JeffMet Business Park,” Jefferson County Commissioner David Carrington said. “This business expansion project brings additional investment and jobs to western Jefferson County.”
The company began operating in Birmingham in 2003, and is a subsidiary of the Michigan-based Plastipak Holdings, Inc.
