10 February 2016

Milacron Holdings Corp.’s new blow molding machinery facility in Policka, Czech Republic, is ramping up delivery of the systems to European and other markets.

Milacron says the Czech plant can make the full range of Uniloy blow molders, including injection types, industrial machines, shuttle machines for containers and reciprocating blow molders.

The company invested more than 15 million euros ($17 million) in the new factory. It now occupies 106,000 square feet and another 38,000 square feet is being added on schedule. It first opened last April and is Milacron’s second site to make blow molding machines. It will continue to make them in Afton, Ohio, as well. More than 90 are employed in the Policka plant. Milacron also manages engineering and design centers for blow molding in Berlin, Magenta, Italy, and Afton. Uniloy molds are made in Tecumseh, Mich.

Milacron said it has shipped blow molders from the Czech plant to customers in Europe, South America, China and the United States.

“Our investment in Europe is imperative to support our growing global customer base,” stated Ron Krisanda, chief operating officer for the advanced plastic processing technologies unit of Milacron.
