Royal Technologies announces $14 million expansion in Cullman

27 October 2017

Royal Technologies Corp. of Cullman is planning a $14 million expansion that it says will create 25 jobs.

Construction has already begun on the project, which will add 176,000 square feet to the plant for the manufacture of plastic injection molding lines. Royal Technologies manufactures polymer products for the automotive, furniture and consumer goods industries.

Production on the new lines should begin by next June. The plant already employs 127 people and has seen almost $27 million in investment since it opened in 2010.

"Cullman County has a rich economic landscape, where companies continue to prosper," Alabama Commerce Secretary Greg Canfield said. "We congratulate Royal Technologies on their success in Cullman, and we look forward to many years of future growth."

Dale Greer, director of the Cullman Economic Development Agency, said Royal Technologies has secured business with several new Alabama manufacturers over the last few months.

"When a company chooses to expand in your community, it is a reinforcement of their original decision to locate there," Greer said. "Your workforce is performing, and the community has proven to be a good choice for them."
