Bins deployed at last week’s Plastics Recycling Expo (PRE) conference which asked delegates to vote for either Leave or Remain by placing their empty drinks bottles in either the Remain or Leave container showed a clear lead for Remain.

The conference, held in Telford last week, brought together key players from the plastics and recycling sectors to capitalise on business opportunities from plastics recycling.

The clear winner was Remain, with 65% of the vote.

“The Remain and Brexit decision will directly affect how the UK priorities recycling, sustainability and circular economy development, and it was interesting to hear the frank discussion from delegates about the affects the EU referendum could have,” commented Anne Hitch, communications manager at RECOUP,
