WITTMANN Presents Latest Injection Moulding Tech Iran Plast
31 March 2016
At Iran Plast, the leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industries in Iran, the WITTMANN Group will be presenting two machines from the WITTMANN BATTENFELD PowerSeries, as well as state-of-the-art robots and peripherals in hall 38, booth 128.
Due to the expected increases in sales potentials for plastic products in Iran and the ensuing growth in the demand for high-performance production equipment, Iran Plast (April 13th-17th 2016) is an interesting platform for the WITTMANN Group to promote its products on this market.
From its range of machinery, WITTMANN BATTENFELD will exhibit a MicroPower specially designed for injection moulding small and micro parts and a machine from its all-electric EcoPower series.
On a MicroPower 15/10, a micro filter made of POM with an 80µ grid and a 1.1 mg part weight will be produced, which can be used in the area of acoustics, for micro pumps or in inhalers. The part will be manufactured in a 2-cavity mould, with 3-platen injection and under clean room conditions provided by a laminar flow box inside the machine.
The outstanding feature of machines from the MicroPower series is their two-step screw-and-plunger injection aggregate, with shot volumes ranging from 0.05 to 4 cm³, which enables the injection of thermally homogeneous plastic melt with the result of absolutely top-quality parts, extremely stable production and short cycle times.
On an EcoPower 240/1330, a coaster will be manufactured from PP with a single-cavity mould supplied by Haidlmair, Austria. The parts will be removed and deposited on a conveyor belt by a W821 robot from WITTMANN.
The machines from the EcoPower series stand out primarily by their extreme energy efficiency, high precision and repeatability.
In addition, robots and peripheral appliances will be on display at the Iran Plast as stand-alone solutions.
