Oxea increases production capacity for isononanoic acid in Oberhausen

Wednesday, May 15, 2019

The global chemical company Oxea has successfully eliminated bottlenecks for its existing isononanoic acid production facilities in Oberhausen. The additional production capacity will leverage the company to support the growth of the global synthetic lubricant market. This measure is the first in a series of others with which Oxea intends to increase its production capacity for carboxylic acids in the short term. In addition, the company plans to commission its sixth large-scale plant for the production of carboxylic acids in 2021.

"Additional projects for the further expansion of our carboxylic acid production are in different phases of planning and implementation. Oxea's flexible approach to producing isononanoic acid in multiple plants offers us opportunities to rapidly expand our distribution position, "said Kyle Hendrix, Global Commercial Director for Carboxylic Acids and Derivatives.
