Accomplast to launch Macedonian injection moulding plant

26 March 2015

German plastics manufacturer Accomplast has unveiled plans to set up a production facility in Prilep, in Macedonia’s southern part, the country’s government said in a statement.

The planned investment was announced at a joint conference hosted by Macedonian government and municipal authorities.

“Accomplast specialises in plastic injection moulding of car parts and uses state-of-the-art technology. They have decided to invest in Macedonia because the country offers favourable investment opportunities and a qualified technical workforce,” said Macedonian Minister for Foreign Investments Bill Pavleski.

Under the plan, the German firm is to launch production at the plant within a year. The investment is estimated to be worth “several million euros”, according to the Macedonian government.

Frank Michaelis, a company representative representing Accomplast in Macedonia, said that the German producer had been scouting potential locations in Prilep with its planned investment in mind.

Accomplast says that its production activities are focused on plastic injection moulding and include state-of-the-art surface finishing and fully automatic assembly systems. The German company has two subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and an offshoot in Ukraine.
