Austrotherm expands in Szekszárd

27 November 2018

The leading provider of thermal insulation continues to expand in the southern region of Hungary. Following the market entry in 1991, Austrotherm in Hungary now produces high-quality expanded polystyrene foam (EPS) insulation in the three locations of Gyor, Gyongyos and Szekszard

10 years after the opening of the South Hungarian location in Szekszárd, a new 2000 m2 warehouse was built as part of the site development to be prepared for the increasing demand for façade, floor or roof insulation.

Stricter environmental standards and rising energy prices have also contributed to the growing demand for high-quality thermal insulation materials. The average insulation thickness for facades of energy-saving buildings today is 11-15 cm EPS, in passive houses even 30 cm.

The new warehouse in Szekszard was opened on 4 September by Janos Bozsaky, Managing Director of Austrotherm Hungary, Peter Schmid, co-owner of Austrotherm Group and Rezso Acs, Mayor Szekszard.
