Kb Components Acquire Dki Plast

DKI Plast is a Danish supplier of injection moulded and extruded components to customers within the lighting-, furniture- and industrial-sector. The company has a turnover of 18 MEUR and run since 2013 all operations in Zilina in the north part of Slovakia.

Through the acquisition, the KB Group expands both its customer portfolio and its Global Footprint. ”Global presence is a necessity for many of our customers and through the acquisition of DKI Plast we will offer production in Sweden, Lithuania, Slovakia, Mexico and China” says the President of KB Components, Stefan Andersson. ”For DKI Plast’s customers the acquisition will create access to increased R&D resources, increased production capacity and technological know-how within automation and process control.”

The sale of the company has been a long process for the current owners  of DKI Plast. The business has been owned by the Nielsen family since the establishment in 1946. Carl Erik Nielsen, who at an age of 72 years still is running the daily operations, is very pleased that the company still will be a part of a family owned business with a long-term commitment for growth and development. “We are convinced that both the customers of DKI Plast and the employees will gain from being a part of a larger group with focus on customer value, global presence and technological leadership, which is in line with the values of DKI Plast, and we look forward to contribute to a successful integration of the operations”

In relation with the acquisition the turnover of the KB Group will pass 100 MEUR related to customers within light vehicles, heavy vehicles, furniture, lighting, medical, chrome plating and industry.
