Sekisui Plastics Establishes Mexican Operations with $7 Million Manufacturing Facility

Sekisui Plastics USA announced the establishment of Sekisui Plastics Mexico, S.A. de C.V. and the opening of its new $7 million manufacturing facility in the city of Valle de Santiago, Mexico.  The plant, which came on line in July, has a molding capacity of approximately 60 metric tons per month with room for future growth.  It will initially products molded mainly from Piocelan hybrid moldable foam resin that are used in automotive applications for energy absorption, light weighting and safety, as well as packaging products for auto parts shipment.  It will also produce packaging materials and systems for a variety of industrial and consumer applications.

The 61,000 square foot facility houses administration, customer service, and sale functions and will create around 80 area jobs.
