WILKO Plastics, Inc., a prominent automotive supplier specializing in custom plastic injection molded components and assemblies, has undergone a rebranding initiative, transitioning from its former name, ALCO Plastics. This strategic move is part of the company's preparations for expanding its product and service offerings to a growing customer base.

William E. Kozyra II, President of WILKO Plastics, highlighted the company's commitment to strategic growth within the automotive plastic injection sector, necessitating a name change and corporate rebranding to reflect ownership changes and pave the way for expansion into new business lines.

Kozyra stated, "It has been an exciting year of growth, process improvements, and success as we strive to be a leader and innovator in this complex part of the automotive industry." The rebranding also aligns with the company's new family ownership, with Kozyra's father, distinguished global automotive executive William L. Kozyra, taking on the role of Chairman. William L. Kozyra has previously served as the CEO of TI Fluid Systems and Continental AG, North America.

The Kozyra father-son duo acquired Alco Plastics, a long-standing family-owned business located in Romeo, Michigan, in July of 2022. William E. WILKO Plastics boasts an extensive product lineup encompassing injection plastic molding products and the customization of multi-material products composed of plastic and metal, primarily for interior automotive components, including sealants and plastic sleeves for seat belts, among other items utilized by Tier One and OEM automotive customers.

Kozyra emphasized, "It has been a great year, and now is the time to ready this company's nearly half-century of automotive success for the future of automotive production." The company has invested in new equipment, employee training, and process enhancements while maintaining a strong commitment to delivering customized products on time to meet customer expectations.

Currently employing approximately 130 individuals, WILKO Plastics operates three shifts across three production facilities in Romeo, Michigan. The company manufactures around 75 million molded parts annually, serving customers not only in the USA but also in 15 other countries. Maintaining its family-owned business roots and core values, WILKO Plastics remains dedicated to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, boasting a 100-percent on-time delivery track record.

Chairman William L. Kozyra expressed pride in the company's achievements over the past year and commended his son's leadership in positioning WILKO for future growth in the evolving automotive production landscape. He emphasized the company's embrace of new technologies and processes to meet the increasing demand for innovative injection molding solutions in the automotive sector.

Chairman Kozyra also highlighted the importance of preserving the company's heritage and honoring its loyal employees. The company's lobby proudly features a portrait of ALCO founder Adrian Lee Conway, serving as a testament to the firm's history since its establishment in 1976.

William E. Kozyra II, who is 38 years old, has built an impressive career in the automotive industry, with two decades of experience in various manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics roles for Tier 1-2 automotive suppliers. His leadership is integral to WILKO Plastics' continued success in the evolving automotive landscape.
