The "Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) - Global Market Outlook (2018-2027)" report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com's offering.
The Global Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) Market accounted for $359.81 million in 2018 and is expected to reach $834.64 million by 2027 growing at a CAGR of 9.8% during the forecast period.
Some of the key factors influencing the market growth include eco-friendly and recyclable and growing demand in end-use industries. However, rising environmental concerns and stringent EPA regulations are expected to hinder the market growth.
Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) is a fluorine-based plastic. It was designed to have high corrosion resistance and strength over a wide temperature range. ETFE is a polymer and its source-based name is poly (ethene-co-tetrafluoroethene) which has a relatively high melting temperature, excellent chemical, electrical and high-energy radiation resistance properties. When burned, ETFE releases hydrofluoric acid.
Among applications, the films & sheets segment of the ETFE market is expected to have a significant growth during the forecast period owing to increase in building & construction industry because of their excellent light transmission properties. By Geography, APAC is estimated to have a lucrative growth during the forecast period due to increasing demand from the film and sheet and coating industries in countries in this region, rising disposable income of people and rapid growth in urban and rural regions in this region are driving the market growth.
