Agape Plastics plans to invest $14 million to construct a 57,600 square foot addition to its current manufacturing facility in Tallmadge Charter Township, Michigan.
Agape Plastics is a company that specializes in custom injection molding and assembly for the automotive, furniture and equipment industries. This expansion creates 54 jobs in the region.
As a result, the project has been awarded a $300,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. In addition, Tallmadge Charter Township has offered support to the project in the form of a property tax abatement. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality supported the project by approving the relocation of a DEQ conservation easement and providing assistance with the conservation easement mitigation process.
This investment will provide excellent employment opportunities for Michigan residents and will create a long-term positive impact on the local economy, said Michigan Economic Development Corporation CEO Steve Arwood.
